About Us
EDRI is a voluntary, non-governmental and non-lucrative Nigerian charity established in 2020 with the primary aim of catering for the under privileged children and youth by adopting human right based approach to development through education, with the purpose of enabling each child to initiate positive change in his immediate environment and be empowered. EDRI targets to meet the educational need of children in rural communities and school dropouts through the provision of quality and quantitative education. EDRI was borne out of passion to see the Nigerian child rise through education.
Our Story
EDRI has successfully worked with 6 schools in 5 different communities of Ebonyi State, we have implemented programs in these remote villages that have provided access to quality education. As a result, literacy rates increased, and communities became more self-reliant. Through our school outreaches, we have been able to reinstate 10 pupils to school and have prevented over 400 pupils from becoming dropouts.

EDRI aims to bridge gaps in education accessibility, enhance learning opportunities, and empower marginalized communities by providing resources, scholarships, and innovative teaching methods in Nigeria
Breaking Gender Barriers
Through targeted campaigns like "Girls go to school too" , we worked to bridge gender gaps in education. Many girls who once faced obstacles in accessing education are now thriving academically, contributing to a more inclusive society
Digital Literacy Transformation
Embracing technology, EDRI introduced digital literacy programs in underserved schools. 15 pupils gained essential computer skills, opening up new opportunities for their future.
Educational Infrastructure Development
Focusing on infrastructure, EDRI in patternship with Blessed to Bless Hands Foundation facilitated the construction of 15 classrooms desks. with our mobile library, more children have access to books that have aid learning. Sight charts availability in schools have made reading easy.
Teacher Training Impact
EDRI invested in teacher training programs, enhancing educators' skills and motivation. This led to improved teaching methods, ultimately raising the overall quality of education in the supported schools.
